The annual rent is £6.00 per rod (approx. 25sq metres) so, a full plot of 10 rods would cost £60.00. Each year tenants also pay £6 association fees which includes both membership of the local association EDAA and the National Association NSALG.
At the start of a tenancy a £6.00 per rod plot deposit (£60 for a full plot of 10 rods) is payable. This is refunded provided that the plot is in a lettable condition when tenants leave.
Rent renewal letters are sent out by e-mail or post, in early January. Payment is always due by 31st January and payments made after this date will subject to a late payment fee of £10 per plot. Payment can be made direct into the association’s bank account, by cheque or in cash at either shop.
Each site is run by a site coordinator who meets new tenants and shows them around. The association has a clear set of rules that coordinators use to ensure that each site runs safely and efficiently.
